This project is an expansion of an existing garbage incinerating facility to increase its capacity, and to provide a recycling component as a new service at the site. This new program results in a three-phase project totaling 53,000 S.F. of new construction. TDP is responsible for the shell building enclosures.
First completed was a conceptual level design comparing different construction systems for life cycle and construction costs. This resulted in the Owner selecting the pre-cast concrete wall panel option, with standing seam metal roof.
The existing incineration building is a pre-engineered metal structure, so this same system was used in its addition.
A two story, 9,000 S.F. administrative office build out within the shell structure provides for offices, conference space, employee break room and locker / shower rooms.
This project is scheduled for completion in early 2014.
