FORT SNELLING STATE PARK CONTACT STATION

Located near St. Paul, MN

Park entry control, security and more functional public space were the issues to be solved at this, the most used State Park in Minnesota.  The Design Partnership designed a 950 s.f. addition to house lobby, service counter functions, and public toilets that would be accessible after hours.

Remodeling of the existing structure provided enlarged office and conferencing space.

Exterior work included covered vending areas, seating space, new sidewalk approaches, and an information kiosk.

Of special interest is the Closed Loop Geothermal heating and cooling system, designed to provide cost efficient performance while being environmentally sensitive.
